BIO
Roganie is a consultant speech and language therapist and clinical academic researcher at University College London Hospital, Head & Neck Cancer Centre. Her specialist clinical interests include the assessment and management of dysphagia in the head and neck population, as well as all aspects of laryngectomy rehabilitation. She has worked clinically in teaching hospitals in South Africa and in various parts of the UK. She has undertaken clinical observerships at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York and the Medical University of South Carolina, USA.
Roganie’s PhD work focused on the subject of behavioural science and health. Her current research interests include exploring the use of behaviour change strategies to improve patient self-management in dysphagia rehabilitation. Roganie has published in her field, and presented on various topics both nationally and internationally. She teaches on graduate and post-graduate SLT training courses in the UK and abroad. She also contributes to guidance and policy documents for the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
